Semper Silva develops, facilitates and supports forestry and agroecology projects, by matching the needs of land-owners with funding partners who wish to make a positive contribution to environmental protection and the fight against climate change.

Semper Silva develops holistic solutions that promote resilience to climate change, disease and pests. Together with expert partners in Europe, we aim to make forests and ecosystems truly sustainable, whether by preventing their deterioration, restoring them or creating new ones as part of agricultural transitions. It contributes to forest restoration even on projects not eligible for carbon certificates or credits. It enables the creation of forests, the planting of hedges or trees, the restoration of waterways, or the reintroduction of animals beneficial to the land or water (silvo-pastoralism or wildlife).

Semper Silva is actively engaged throughout projects, and thanks to bi-annual audits, verifies its smooth running and that on the ground reality matches expected results. If necessary, it can also help readjust the initial action plan to maximize each project's positive environmental impact, sustainability and profitability over the medium and long term.

Semper Silva is affiliated with Sylva Nova, a forestry company created in 1994 in Belgium.

Semper Silva was created by Joséphine de Chazournes Falchetti.

She draws on her experience both in finance and agricultural transition to develop environmentally and economically sustainable projects. She worked for over two decades in strategy and research on capital markets. In addition, she has a long-term experience in the conversion and development of organic and regenerative farms, including conceiving and building from scratch an ecological and sustainable reserve, PoggioLecci, which produces one of the finest organic extra virgin olive oil as well as organic aromatics, through permaculture, to enhance cross-pollination and diversify the estate’s output and income stream.

In 2020, she started collaborating with Sylva Nova, to create and implement forest restoration projects in Italy. This partnership grew to cover many different countries in Europe, with Semper Silva now affiliated to Sylva Nova.

The team has grown to develop and manage diverse projects, with Semper Silva currently developing and supporting around twenty projects in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Ireland and the UK.
